TEXAS RESEARCH EXCHANGE FEST 2008Texas A&M University, College StationThe Texas Research Exchange Fest 2008 was held September 8th - 10th in the Annenberg Conference Center at the George Bush Presidential Library located on the campus of Texas A&M University. The purpose of this meeting was to have various representatives from federal agencies discuss the details of their different research programs and to encourage collaborations among the researchers at Texas Universities and Industry. The event included poster sessions and collaborative discussions in addition to the informational sessions featuring the representatives from different federal agencies. The event was organized to focus on five major areas within computer science: security, software, networks, information, and high performance computing. Representatives from the National Science Foundation, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, U.S. Department of Energy, The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, The National Nuclear Security Administration, and The Air Force Office of Scientific Research gave guest lectures and helped to facilitate discussion.
