AV EQUIPMENT

Overhead projectors, computer projectors, slide projector, and TV & VCR are available through the help desk.

COMPUTING SERVICES

Please see the Computing Services Group helpdesk located in Room 210 HRBB to apply for a computer account. The helpdesk office also provides lab access for faculty, staff, and students.

Graduate students should fill out an account request form for web project space, database accounts, and personal homepage space.

COPIERS

The departmental copiers work on auditron numbers. Faculty and staff are issued auditron numbers by Leah. Graduate students will not be issued auditron number unless a faculty member requests it. Faculty can email Leah the request or visit her in room 301.

LOUNGE/COFFEE

The department maintains a lounge for faculty, staff, and graduate students in room 312. Please abide by the rules that are posted in the lounge and understand that this is not a study area. Coffee and tea are available as are microwave ovens and a refrigerator. All of us are asked to help keep this area clean.

MAILBOX

The department provides mailboxes for all faculty, staff and graduate students. To obtain a mailbox, fill out the appropriate Mailbox Registration Form located in room 301 and return to Leah.

OFFICE SPACE

Contact Bruce Veals (Room 213 HRBB, (979)847-8606, bveals@cs.tamu.edu), Bruce handles office space, keys, furniture, and inventory for the department. Graduate students will need a professor to provide office space, unless funded in some other way.

Bruce maintains a stock of common office supplies in our general office supply room located in room 308.

PARKING

Ciara will assist faculty and staff with obtaining a parking space in Lot 51. Graduate students need to contact Transportation Services for information on acquiring a parking permit. Visit the Transportation Services homepage for rules and regulations, maps of parking lots, and the application to apply for a parking permit.

PAYROLL

Please visit with Margaret so she can process your information into the Texas A&M University payroll system. Your information must be processed for payroll before you begin working.

Bruce will assist you with any questions concerning a telephone for your office. Please be aware of Texas A&M's policy that no personal phone calls and/or faxes should be made on Texas A&M phones. Please use your personal phone card if it is necessary for you to make personal long distance calls. Also, be sure to talk to your supervisor regarding long distance usage for business purposes.

ROOM RESERVATIONS

The conference rooms for the department are managed by a Reserve a room system on CSNet. Any faculty or staff member may reserve rooms and equipment, and edit their reservations. The following conference rooms are available for reservation on this system: 302, 307, 320, 407B, 501A, 516 HRBB, and 912B, 916D RICH. If you need to reserve a classroom, contact the Registrar's office at (979)845-7117.

TRAVEL
